The Amman Marathon is a national / International event that allows participants from all age groups and abilities to attend and enjoy the race. The Race is famous for the diversity of its races, including: Marathon 42 km Individuals, Marathon 42 km Relay, Half Marathon 21 km race, and Fun Run 10 km race. A special short-distance race for children who like to run is held one week after the main event. The marathon also includes a race for people with special needs and disabilities. The highlight of the event is that it gives people a chance to roam and jog in the beautiful streets of Amman, which are fully equipped for their comfort, and car-free for only one day a year. Participants are also able to culminate this unforgettable experience with an awards ceremony held at the Roman Amphitheatre in downtown Amman.
